We will reopen and resume our regular store hours on Tuesday Jan. 7.
So far this year, we proudly:
-Sponsored the monthly pick-ups fees for several glass recycling stations in Erie County through Bayfront Glass (Including a new one on Buffalo Rd)
-Sponsored additional trash & recycling stations for the 2nd phase of renovations at the Erie Children’s Museum
-Collected & shipped over 300 pounds of eclipse glasses for reuse in other countries
-Collaborated with Gannon University to collect unwanted items during move out week, which resulted close to 200+ bags of items kept out of the landfill
-Funded field trips for all City of Erie Kindergarten classes to the Erie Children’s Museum
-Hosted 12 Free Friday events at our store, each event keeps approx. 900 items in use.
-Kept thousands of items in use and out of the landfill through reuse, redistribution and recycling at the store

At Green Scene Thrift, we created a space for our community to shop reuse in an exciting and fun environment that not only saves money and resources, but sparks imagination and challenges others to think differently about gently used items.

We take every step to make sure donated items are reused, redistributed or recycled. We also partner with other local non-profits to pass along items they can use, so as a community we can all benefit.
